          Tehran Bus Company Inks MOU with TEJARAT BANK to Modernize and Renovate Bus Transport Fleet
          Operation Ceremony of Tehran Urban Buses with TEJARAT BANK’s Financial Support

           At the financial support of TEJARAT BANK, a prestigious ceremony was held for the operation and utilization of urban buses within the framework of implementation of plan entitled “Modernization of Tehran Public Transport Fleet”, Public Relations Dept. of the bank reported. 

          After the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Tehran Bus Company and TEJARAT BANK in order to grant a number of 200 facilities for installment sales of bus, the operation ceremony of this giant plan was held on Monday July 24in the presence of respected Mayor of Tehran Mohammad-BaqerQalibaf. 
          On the sidelines of this Operation Ceremony, Managing Director of Tehran Bus Services Organization PeymanSanandaji pointed to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) inked between TEJARAT BANK and Tehran Bus Services Organization and said: “Here, I seize this opportunity to express my special thanks to TEJARAT BANK,which is considered as the leading and pioneering bank, in development and modernization of public transport fleet.” 
          The banks’ support from the public transport fleet of the country have a direct impact on the health, welfare, well-being conditions and optimal lives of people to a great extent, he said, adding: “According to a recent agreement signed with TEJARAT BANK, a number of 30 single-cabin buses are now ready to be used.” 
          He also expressed his hope that with the continued support of TEJARAT BANK and the realization of arrival of 200 modern buses according to the aforementioned MOU inked, TEJARAT BANK and Bus Services Organization could take a common step towards the development of public transport system in the metropolis Tehran.
          Elsewhere in his remarks, he said: “To achieve the advanced public transport network system, we managed to correct the network optimally. Despite effective and constructive measures taken in this regard, there are still some shortages in 22 districts in metropolis Tehran, the issue of which is under expert-level study as well.”
          Given the above issue, Tehran Bus Company will make all its utmost efforts in order to materialize most of its objectives in the current Iranian calendar year in 1396 (started March 21, 2017), Sanandaji observed. 
          Of the other salient achievement of his Organization, he pointed to the considerable 12% reduction in fuel consumption rate and said: “Today, 30 modern buses have entered into the country’s bus fleet, so that these effective measures taken by the Company will facilitate public bus transport system in the metropolis Tehran in the best form possible.” 
          Once again, he reiterated: “With the continued support of TEJARAT BANK, it is hoped that both TEJARAT BANK and Bus Services Organization will take a giant stride towards the development of public transport in metropolis Tehran.”
          Also, about 700 worn-out minibuses have been decommissioned and dropped out of operation in recent months, he stated.
          In the end, Managing Director of Tehran Bus Services Organization PeymanSanandajiexpressed his special thanks to the chief executive and senior managers of TEJARAT BANK who supported objectives of the Organization in this respect. 
          It should be noted that TEJARAT BANK signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tehran Urban and Suburban Bus Company and also with two operation companies, affiliated to Tehran Bus Services Organization, in mid-July 2017 in the field of awarding a number of 200 facilities for installment sales of bus. 
          In order to facilitate the payment of transport charges (fares) by passengers in buses and metro (subway) stations, TEJARAT BANK launched Electronic Payment Project in the primary phase in the cities of Tehran and Arak and this giant project will soon be implemented throughout the country in the very near future.
