          Equipping 17 Branches of TEJARAT BANK to the Banking System of the Blind
          In line with performing its social responsibilities and facilitating the access of the dear blind people to the quality banking services, TEJARAT BANK has so far set up a number of 17 special booths in its branches for offering quality services to the blind and visually impaired people, the Public Relations Dept. of the bank reported.

          Presently, 17 branches of the bank in the provinces of Yazd, Bushehr, Lorestan, Gilan, Mazandaran, Markazi, Kordestan, Kohgilouyeh and Boyerahmad, Khorasan Razavi, Alborz, Isfahan, Fars, East Azarbaijan, Qom, Qazvin and Tehran (two branches) are ready to offer quality banking services to the respected blind people. In these booths, the possibility of easy access to all branch services of the bank has been provided for the dear blind people using answering call, highlighters and braille displays. By setting up these booths at branches of the bank, the blind and visually impaired customers can use all their banking operations such as opening account, depositing fund, transferring money, etc. independently without attending in person. Also, with regard to the subjects such as fraud and misuse of profiteers, setting up the blind banking system at branches of the bank can help promote the level of security in banking transactions of these customers. NVDA means (Non- Visual Desktop Access), which is a free “screen reader” which enables blind and vision impaired people to use computers. It reads the text on the screen in a computerized voice.) In the commemoration ceremony of World Day of the Blind (Walking Stick Safety Day), which was held at the venue of Golhak Cineplex in Oct., salient activities of TEJARAT BANK were appreciated due to rendering specialized services to the blind and visually impaired people.
